Tyler Seguin is now the favorite to be drafted number one overall according to International Scouting Services.

Finishing two goals shy of 50, and tying Taylor Hall for the OHL scoring championship were two of the main reasons why Seguin was able to leapfrog Hall from second to first.

Hall finished with only 40 goals, and missed six less games than Seguin; due in large part to competing at the World Junior Championships over Christmas.  Hall also skipped the last two games of the season to rest for the playoffs.

Cam Fowler of the Windsor Spitfires remains in third position in the rankings.  Rumors lately report that the Edmonton Oilers have been scouting the American-born defenceman with quite a lot of interest.

One scout told me at the CHL Prospects game that Fowler compares to Drew Doughty, but is just a little less physical.  The Oilers are weak on defence, but it would be shocking if they didn’t take either Hall or Seguin.

Valdimir Tarasenko, ranked fourth, has 28 points in 42 games played for Novosibirsk Siber of the KHL.  He is closely followed by Moncton Wildcats defenceman Brandon Gormley.

The draft takes place June 25th and 26th in Los Angeles, California.

The rest of the list is as follows…
