Weekly WHL Power Rankings

The Kootenay Ice have been chipping away at the OIH rankings for the past few weeks and this week are awarded the top spot, very narrowly edging out the Portland Winterhawks.

It should be no surprise that the Medicine Hat Tigers are ranked third this week. They are on a four game winning streak and have points in eight of their last 10 games.

Once the Kamloops Blazers cooled off (losing both games last week) the Kelowna Rockets were there to become the hot team. The won both games last week and have won eight of their last 10. They are over .500 for the first time this season.

The Everett Silvertips won all three of their games last week including wins of Seattle and Tri-City two teams ahead of them in the standings.

The Hitmen finally ended their winless streak by defeating the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-3 last Friday.
