It’s been somewhat of a season of regression for Belleville’s Tyson Teichmann.

After showing promise last season coming into the league as a 16-year old, Tyson was expected to take the ball and run in his sophomore season with the club.  However, the opposite has happened as the Bulls’ other young goalkeeper Malcolm Subban – brother to the NHL’s PK – has stolen some of TT’s thunder and is now splitting games with the prospect goaltender.

Ranked 28th among North American netminders and 9th in the Ontario Hockey League, Teichmann has been anything but stellar this season, going  8-22-0-2 with a 4.28 GAA and .880 SV%.  Because of this, and the rise of Subban, his stock has fallen in the mind’s of many scouts and teams around the NHL.

Regardless, as you’ll hear in the interview, Tyson remains positive, and is looking to finish the season on a high note.

So sit back and enjoy Brandon Sudeyko’s first contribution to OIH; Five Minutes With Tyson Teichmann
